Andy, you're obsessed with Floyd.

Laugh at me if you want, but I am a huge fan of "hair metal". All these years, I've been thinking the genre was pretty much reduced to nostalgia tours with no future. Turns out I'm living in the wrong country, hell, wrong continent. The last decade has seen an explosion in bands taken right from Spin magazine circa 1988. Most are Swedish, but not all. Anyone who liked the loud, raunchy stuff should have fun with these.

I'll kick it off with one for James. These guys have 4 albums already, and have been tapped to do the theme song for the upcoming Friday the 13th video game. This video features a number of the kill scenes from the game (hence the dedication to James ).


Then there's these two. I have played the hell out of these two songs the last few weeks.



Oh, and it's not all Scandinavian.

These guys just released their debut last year, and they're from right here in Ontario. Saw them two weekends ago in a Hamilton club, and they were incredible. Got a massive ovation from the crowd too, which was nice to see.



It's coming back gentlemen.

Talking of Friday the 13th, I like this one but all the official vids seem to be blocked on you tube

The video Clint didn't recognize above was from the movie Pink Floyd: The Wall, correct? Haven't seen that in years.

As for the Cooper song, is it a regional thing to the UK? I saw a couple of official videos. Can you view this one?

If the Pink Floyd video is from "The Wall", I definitely will have to watch it again.  I haven't seen it in years.
