I always love their videos

Re: What Music Moves You ?
I listened to a lot of Venom and Celtic Frost in my high school years
Given your taste for the dark side Bill , I have a feeling you may be a H.R. Giger fan
Tom Warrior (Celtic Frost's singer) was Giger's personal assistant for years and can be seen in this documentary quite a bit ...
Venom was a pretty big influence on me early and introduced me to Slayer in a funny way . When I was in high school I would frequently go to the Library in my study hours , lunch breaks etc to play Chess . One of those days I happened to play chess with a guy named Bennet . We were both listening to our walkmans and noticed both of us were listening to some heavy shit - I was listening to Venom and he was listening to Slayer - we swapped tapes and became best friends almost immediately Bennet was one of my very best friends and unfortunately passed away a few years ago but he will always have a special place in my heart .

Here was one of my favorite Venom tunes ...
Merciful Fate is a tough one for me - the music was fantastic and about 2/3 of the vocals were good . Unfortunately , for whatever reason , when King Diamond does his real high pitched girly screaming it is like nails on a chalkboard to me I think I am just super sensitive to very high pitched noises

and I also beg to differ that Nuns have no fun ...

Re: What Music Moves You ?
Sounds like we are in agreement on King Diamond
Love the tat - I still have Morbid tales and one or 2 other Celtic Frost cassettes around here somewhere but no longer have a tape player
At War With Satan was the Venom cassette I was listening to in the library when I met Bennet and playing chess - what a fucking combination
To outsiders at the time it must have been quite the site - Big long haired white guy , little black dude (Bennet was a small fucker 4 ' 10") , both listening to the heaviest death metal music around in 1987 and engaged in a heavy game of chess
We use to get a kick out of going to the mall and record stores - people treated us like we were insane and carried a disease

Awesome image James

I've seen Hawkwind a good few times in the mid to late 80's, it's a shame I didn't see them in the 70's with Robert Calvert
