I think these are multi region, eaten alive was made by the Cannibal Ferox guy(Umberto Lenzi) and Cannibal God has Ursula Andress in, I haven't seen either and got both new for a couple of quid(sealed), you need to see these films at least oncehellhippie wrote:Your dvds are pal over there andy correct?
Bill our region normally is 2(pal) mate
I know which I'll watch first

Cannibal god is more story but lots of nudity .
Umberto lenzi was much more of a trashy gorefest type of director which of course is right up my alley!!

Why does Halloween 3 get such a bad rep? Although Michael isn't in it I've always enjoyed it, more so than Halloween 2.

Re: PSYCHO - The Official Horror Movie Discussion Thread
Red State is truly awesome. If you know nothing about it, don't even watch a trailer, just rent it. If you are familiar with dark American 20th-century cult history, the references will be instantly apparent, but it has a couple great twists.
Rich, Halloween gets a bad rap because simpler viewers cling to a few technicalities and label it as "bad" rather than actually watching it. If it weren't called Halloween 3 and had a few character name changes, it would probably be a cult hit like "Black Christmas"
Also, I haven't told anyone to watch Eden Lake (2008) for a few months, DO IT. Don't watch a trailer first.

First time I watched it (in my teens) I was suprised it had nothing to do with Michael Myers, second time I did enjoy it, cool little movie

Re: PSYCHO - The Official Horror Movie Discussion Thread
When I originally saw Halloween 3 (in my teens) I was very pissed off that it had nothing to do with Myers and hated the movie . I was then , and still am , a huge Myers fan so my disappointment ruined the movie for me at that time .
Years later , after I finally decided to watch the movie again , I realized that it really isn't that bad of a movie and is actually pretty creepy . Their huge mistake was calling the movie Halloween 3 instead of just Season of The Witch . I felt that it was false advertisement then and still do . The marketing gimmick that they tried to use by capitalizing on a name really back fired on them

Yup, completely agree with that, James.
Hey, remember how Alien: Covenant was incredibly forgettable? Just saw a 6 film Blu-ray set of the Alien series at the store, and I was like "6?... Oh Yeeaaaaahh"

Re: PSYCHO - The Official Horror Movie Discussion Thread
Can anyone remember an old B+W horror where a couple were walking towards the camera at the end and (a witch?) runs in from the side and lops one of their heads off with a serving platter or something similar?
Also, I remember seeing a colour horror in the early 80s where a guy gets in a car and the car is covered with giant crabs. Ring any bells?

Maybe they made the book "Killer Crabs by Guy N. Smith" into a movie?

Not Giant Giant crabs. I remember them getting into a car and in the footwells were loads of big (giant) crabs in the car. It was terrifying for a ..... 6 year old? me.

Re: PSYCHO - The Official Horror Movie Discussion Thread
I haven't been able to figure out what that was.
I saw "The Predator". I liked it. Everyone who's complaining about it should go watch the first two and then ask themselves what they were hoping to see.
