I know this will affect a few people in here, especially James.
We lost the Master yesterday at age 77 to lung cancer. RIP George Romero.
On boards like ours, the phrase "Thank you, George" usually refers to Lucas. I have more respect for Romero, and having met him a few years ago, will miss him terribly.

Same here James. The man was a true idol of mine.
As huge as SW was on my life, if I could only pick one trilogy to ever watch again, it would be the first three Dead movies.
Here's me, without the crazy long hair and beard, meeting him in Toronto around 2008 with my son, who would have been about 6 at the time. He was awesome, and was so enthusiastic when I asked him how Survival of the Dead was coming along (it was in production hell at the time).

Re: PSYCHO - The Official Horror Movie Discussion Thread
Romero was amazing, I contend that Land of the Dead was very underrated, lots of interesting stuff going on with the characters.
Just finished Friday the 13th 1-9 + Freddy vs. Jason with my girlfriend over a 2-3 week period. Awesome lol
It was my first time seeing a handful of them.

I've recently seen Friday 13th Parts 1-5 again but for some reason Sky are missing 6. Then they have 7-9 and Freddie v Jason. REALLY annoying when they do that.

I need to check this topic more often
Sad at Georges passing, he was a legend, met him a few years ago and took along a zombie animatronic puppet I had built based on dr tongue, he couldn't have been nicer about it, a real gent who offered me work in his next picture, shame I never got to take him up on it

Re: PSYCHO - The Official Horror Movie Discussion Thread
I shall have to investigate these " Arrow video/88 films and Blue underground", there is a local company that tries to shoot low budget horror titles like that but the scripts are always so brutal lol
This is a little more in the "thriller" genre but I just watched "A Cure for Wellness", first of all, I didn't want to watch it because it seemed generic it has some current rising stars in it but the journey from where the movie starts to where it ends is just remarkable. It kinda has a structure that's kinda like Dracula, and it's just shot so beautifully.
I don't even recommend watching a trailer because if it gives away the main story beats, it would be a real shame lol

I don’t know if you’re talking about a new DayOTD remake but there is one from 10+ years ago that is real dog shit lol like Dawn if the Dead 2003 is a masterpiece by comparison.
