What Music Moves You ?
I had a email this morning that let me know Tool is going on tour again and has a new album coming out
I thought I would start this thread in honor of the announcement and see what music everyone else is in to
As a huge Tool fan I am ecstatic already but PRIMUS is opening too ... I think I might have creamed my jeans a little
Here is a fan made video for one of my favorite songs off their last release 10,000 Days ...
They will be in Tulsa on January 16th - It's been nearly 10 long years since their last release and I can't wait

Sorry, I had to re-read this line, and this was the first thing that came to mind.

that's so cool about the album and tour, I wish I could come see em with you buddy
Right in two is an awesome track, but my favourite from the 10,000 days album has to be 'the Pot'
Another Tool favourite of mine is the title track from the album Aenema

Great choices James & Chris.
Here's an old Puddle of Mudd video for you James which pays homage to some classic horror movies.

@ Clint -
At least you didn't comment on me being a "HUGE TOOL" fan
@ Steve -
cool Puddle of Mud video
Someone told me once that I resemble the singer in Puddle of Mud ... frankly I don't see it
@ Chris -
Wish you could come see them with me too
They have been a favorite band (Top 3 at least) for a very long time . I have seen them live at least 5 times and they are fucking fantastic live
All the songs you posted are favs of mine too but to be honest at least 3/4 of every release they have made is a fav
Ahem ... cough , cough ...
did anyone catch that Primus is opening ?

Tickets went on sale at 11 am this morning - it took us 10 minutes to get through with our order and by the time we got through these were the best tickets available ...

section 314 in the nose bleed area
I reckon any Tool tickets are better then none so I am still excited

you're right Jim, It doesn't matter where you are seated, just as long as you are there
I'm sooo envious right now, Primus and Tool on the same billing

Congrats on the Tool / Primus ticket score.
I haven't been to a concert for a few years now. I think the last one was KISS / Buckcherry.
A couple of my favourite bands that I've seen.
Pink Floyd in 94 (The Division Bell tour in Toronto) & Iron Maiden in 91 ( No Prayer for the Dying Tour in Toronto) w/ Anthrax opening.

Maiden and Floyd are awesome - in fact Maiden was my favorite band through Jr High and most of high school
Unfortunately I never got to see Maiden or Floyd live
I forgot to mention that there is a 3rd band on the Tool / Primus bill called " 3TEETH " -
I had never heard of them before so I checked Youtube - they are a industrial metal band from California . They actually sound almost identical to Ministry (the godfathers of Industrial Metal) -
The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste came out in 1989

Re: What Music Moves You ?
I've a typical 80s/90s American Rock fan.
Saw Motley Crue (Vince is not interested), Alice Cooper (absolutely brilliant and way better than he was 2 years ago) and some awful support band last week. What I'm enjoying is taking my daughter to share the bands I've listened to for 25 years+. It gives a fresh perspective on shows. Really looking forward to the GN'R reunion - yeah I know what you're going to say but every time I've seen Axl he has delivered. There are shitty Youtube clips of every band out there.
I can't get to see Whitesnake and Def Leppard next week but they're two bands on my list.
Oh, and Black Sabbath next year before it's game over.

Re: What Music Moves You ?
YES!
So far, so good. As you can see from my avatar (which I use on every board I'm a member of), I am a fan mostly of 80's hard rock, with Def Leppard being my all time fave. Really, I can listen to pretty much anything but rap and hip hop, but my first love is loud cock rock.
Anyone with a similar mindset needs to check out Steel Panther. By FAR the most awesome band of the last decade.

Myself and a few of the guys went to see Steel Panther in Toronto at the Sound Academy, back in May. I may have over indulged and only remember 1/2 the concert.
We usually have them playing in the background while playing cards.

Here's one of my favourite Sabbath tracks - War Pigs (which 45 years after it's original release is still sadly relevant).

War Pigs is a favorite of mine too Steve
I really love Faith No More's cover of it as well ...
One of my all time favorite bands with the most talented vocalist in music (just my opinion though ) Mike Patton

Funnily enough I was going to post the FNM version James, but thought I would go with the original artists. FNM's 'THE Real Thing' is one of my all time favourite albums.
