Re: Your Latest Pickups........ Volume 3
Firstly, sorry I haven’t been here for a while, but my latest pickup reminded me of a few of you guys here!
I’m very pleased to own my first Canadian MOC to add to a small R2 collection that is slowly growing.
The bubble is a bit yellow, but the card is perfect.

Re: Your Latest Pickups........ Volume 3
The card looks like it’s in great shape, Nick! A lot of the Jedi ones can get yellow but when it comes to the Canadian stuff, I find it’s hard to be too picky given the relatively low frequency that it turns up. I haven’t got a Canadian Sensor scope R2 yet myself. Nice score!
Re: Your Latest Pickups........ Volume 3
Nick, that's a fantastic Canadian R2 MOC. Well done.

Thanks guys,
Appreciate the kind comments.
It’s a card that you don’t see very often over here, so really pleased to add this one.

A nice little find at the Collectable Expo in Kitchener, ON. this morning. Some 1984 Canadian Kellogg's cereal premiums from the C-3PO's cereal.

Thanks Andy. I wasn't sure if I was going to get up early and go, but I'm glad I did. Parking was at a premium though. There was another show there this morning.

Great find, Clint. I probably would have gone to that show had I been home. See anything else out of the ordinary?

There was a bunch of loose figures, and beaters, MOC's, books, comics, & puzzles. But it was a general collectables show, so they had a lot of everything.

Treated myself to this beautiful first 12 display stand, and a GW Acrylic case to display it in

Re: Your Latest Pickups........ Volume 3
Love the action display stand, Mark! Certainly, the best way to display that set and the GW case is a fine touch too. That's something I've been passively looking for.
Yesterday I picked up this complete Canadian Dagobah Playset from one of my favorite local stores in Toronto:

I think the parts are unused/sealed but the bags are stapled and I'm not sure if that's how they originally came, but given the condition of the rest of the piece (including foam that's about as good as one can ask for) I'm inclined to believe that the bags are correct, but if anyone knows, please speak up!

Well done Chris & Chris.
Love the headless & sun burnt Luke.
Chris P. That Canadian Degobah play set is fantastic. Did you notice the spelling mistake on the instruction sheet. Another example that Canadians can't spell.
I don't know if the bags of accessories came stapled shut?

Re: Your Latest Pickups........ Volume 3
Some great additions guys.
Loving the Cerial cards Clint, I’ve never seen those before and that First 12 stand and Dagobah set are in amazing condition.
And what can I say anout that Luke Chris, well “rescued”.
I have never seen any bags stapled before, I thought that they came heat or taped sealed, but who knows what the Canadian’s did?

Re: Your Latest Pickups........ Volume 3
Thanks for the info, Nick. I doubt the Canadian baggies would be any different than the regular Kenner ones. Should be pretty much the same factories.
Re: Your Latest Pickups........ Volume 3
Just added a dark blue R2 to the loose vintage collection, so another chance to show off the first 12 mailaway stand

And just treated myself to this, needs a bit of dusting here and there but all complete.
