Re: my modern collection so far
picked up another vintage collection figure, this time Leia boushh, really pleased with this one, the faceprinting tech works surprisingly well, not a 100 percent likeness but better than normal paint, love the cardart on this one, really takes me back

Re: my modern collection so far
Picked up another unleashed statue, I have been after this Leia statue for a while, but it always went above £45, which is what I was prepared to pay, finally nabbed one today on ebay just under my threshold, I'm happy that playing the long game worked out for me finally

Got another couple of bargains in, death squad commander and a jawa, both for under 18 quid, I didn't buy any of the 40th wave when they first came out, happy to have a couple in the collection,

Nice buy, Ian. I think those were the last two to be released, similar to the vintage days lol they are in pretty good shape considering how long they must have gone unsold.
I've got 2 or 3 from that series, myself.

Nice to get those without paying retail. Man, those lightsabers on the diecast figures are pretty wild.
Re: my modern collection so far
cheers mate, yeah the diecast are quite nice, they come with just a lit sabre to, but I like the swoosh effect,

Re: my modern collection so far
I've been a bit quiet on the buying front lately, nothing really caught my eye, but I've just ordered these 3 items, first up Tarkin and his board game, stuck in my craw a bit having to buy the boardgame to get the exclusive figure, but it was only £20.00 so I guess that's not to bad, not sure yet if i'll open it ,to release the carded figure or just leave it boxed

Next up is another vintage collection figure, another one I've bought because the face printing looked so nice on it, love the green on the pill and bubble backing
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
This last one I bought on a whim as it was on sale ,black series 6 inch scale DJ for 6 pounds, another one with a great likeness
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
So thats it for now, I've also been buying the odd vintage beater figure here and there for my grandson, getting a beater collection together for when he's old enough, got a few together now

Re: my modern collection so far
I have to agree. The artwork on the plate is fantastic.
I like the sprinkling of black series figures around the shelves.
In the picture with the snow trooper and at-at legs. What are the trading cards in the back ground? Are they vintage un-cut sheets or something newer?

Re: my modern collection so far
Cheers mate, the trading cards are modern,i had them in a box and wanted some way to display them, I bought a blank canvas painted it black and glued the cards to it, don't have a decent pic of just the canvas, it works well enough,
