Re: my modern collection so far
Heres another addition to my modern collection, it lights up and plays a theme from the cantina, packaging has seen better days, but I didn't pay a lot for it really, and I haven't seen many of them around, a starcase will make it a bit more presentable

That's a great piece Ian. It's a figure that they should have made in the vintage line. Looks like the same figure came in the mail away boxes?

Great score, if I make some room for my cardboard cantina diorama, I'll probably track down that mail away set.
I wouldn't mind picking up the Jabba's Palace cardboard playset tbh

Re: my modern collection so far
Those sets sound cool Chris, I don't have them in the collection yet, the mail away figures are a cool set to have, I have them on display, the electronic ones were a set of five only available at star wars weekends 2007, so they are pretty rare, glad to have one of them

Re: my modern collection so far
Well I haven't bought much recently, but couldn't pass these two up on offer at the entertainer website for £15.00 each down from £48, the black series centrepiece, vader and luke
First up Vader, six inch scale, features light up blast effect and glowing sliced door effect, very cool
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Next up Luke on hoth, features light up blast effect, these are cool and you can add other figures to them,

Nice, those remind me of the unleashed series. I’ve been meaning to get a few more of those.
Re: my modern collection so far
Cheers Chris, they are very much like the unleashed line, just a larger base to them with the light up features, I have around seven of the unleashed line to, very dynamic figure displays

Re: my modern collection so far
Well its been a bit quiet on the buying front lately, that is until the recent toyfair, lots of cool stuff I just had to have, sold a few pieces and got some funds together, ah the joys of being a collector on a budget, I went the preorder route with these not out for a few months
first up the sail skiff, missed the last version when it was out at retail, and didn't fancy the 100 plus scalper pricing on ebay, so this new version at 40 pounds fits the bill nicely
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
next up the first wave of the retro line, I know these are not for everyone, but for me they look pretty cool, and will fit in the collection nicely
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
next up han in trooper getup, 3.75 scale vintage collection, this looks like a great figure
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
lastly a couple of items that are in stock now, first up archive series Luke in x wing fighter gear, I got this when it was first out in the black series but sold it, really regretted it, so glad to have it again
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
and lastly breaking my OT only rule, (i decided to only collect original trilogy stuff) this snoke was on offer for a fiver seemed rude not to
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
So i've never preordered before, hope it all goes smoothly, i paid up front for everything apart from the skiff, but that's not out till june/july, see how it goes

I hope everything arrives safely. You'll have to keep us updated on the Retro line as they come out. Hopefully Hasbro puts out some figures that were never released (like the Tarkin figure).

Re: my modern collection so far
That Skiff is really beautiful, its almost more like a scale model than a 3.75" toy vehicle. Great selection of stuff, bro!
Re: my modern collection so far
Cheers mate It is a great looking toy, can't wait to get it i'll be opening mine for sure,
Got my han in trooper gear figure, very nice, I feel like I need another to open, but they have sold out already, glad I snagged one
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: my modern collection so far
cheers mate, I have been using these command hooks, but during the hot weather we had last year a lot of them fell off
command hooks
so I have a combination of them and nails, the back of the door is purely small nails

Re: my modern collection so far
I use the command hooks as well, but I've never had a problem with them coming off. But we have air conditioning for the house. I've had some of the exterior command hooks come off because it was too cold, and I didn't use the exterior grade adhesive strips.

Re: my modern collection so far
Well the stuff came today, sadly my landspeeder was missing the clear stand it should have come with, but apart from that its all good, hopefully the company I used can sort it for me
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Also won a bunch of figures on ebay, they should be here soon, few doubles which I will sell on, but a good mixed lot
