Naturally occurring Natural gas geyser at Golf Course

This is apparently a naturally occurring natural gas geyser that erupted yesterday at the "Indian Hills Golf Course".

I grew up just north of here.  I've also played golf a few times at this golf course.

I hope it wasn't dangerous or that anyone got hurt , but damn , that is pretty freaking cool

They have the area around the golf course closed off to everyone but local traffic.  No one was hurt.  The guy that filmed it, just happened to be playing when the geyser went off at 7.50 am yesterday morning.

The Utility company doesn’t have any pipelines in the area and the leak is naturally occurring from a methane gas pocket.

They just have to wait till it stops farting.

Wow, so was this just a normal looking pond, until it just blew up into a geyser one day!?

The guy mentions that it smells like propane, and that there was a haze of what looked like gas hanging over the tree line
I hope this gas was not as highly flammable as propane?

Yep.
The golf course is beautiful, and one of the toughest & best courses in the area. It also just happens to be owned by the Kettle and Stony Point First Nation.
