All effects in this next shot were created practically, in camera. Using a combination of sparklers, cherry bombs and the drain unblocker, air blast gun. The image is composited using several action and lighting shots. Which were then layered together using Photoshop. The trick is to not touch the camera at all whilst taking all the multiple shots. I used a remote shutter to take the shots, so as not to touch the camera at all. That way all the composited layers match up and align more accurately.

It's been a couple of months since I've been able to take any creative shots, due to being without a proper camera, since my old Olympus packed up. But I recently managed to pick up a fairly decent second hand Canon 7D DSLR camera with a basic kit lens. I'm still learning my way around the basic functionality of the newer camera, but have managed to take a few shots that I'm quite happy with. I think once I get a few more decent quality lenses and my understanding of how to get the best out of my camera improves. Then I think my pics should improve a whole lot more.
Anyway, here's a few of my latest pics. (Sorry that they're not original vintage figures, or even OT figures in some of them. But I am having fun with the more articulated, modern figures at 3.75" scale, as I can get slightly more action style poses with them. But I will also be using my vintage figures, in the future too Smile

This one was taken with my phone, before getting the new camera, as I wanted to take a test shot of my newly built diorama pieces
