Re: Put The "Action" In Action Figure !!!
A few more recent shots that I've done
I did a re work of this shot, from a while back. mostly improving the sharpness, colour and saber/blaster effects.

That looks fantastic.
You're getting quite a collection of modern figures as well as vintage.

Re: Put The "Action" In Action Figure !!!
Thanks guys
Thanks Clint. Hasbro did a pretty good job with the plastic flame effects that came with the incinerator trooper. So all I did was place an orange LED light under the flames to give it a more realistic glow and added a little bit of motion blur, to give the flames a little more fluidity. The rest was all done practically, in camera.
Yeah I've got quite a few modern figures now. But very rarely do I buy them at full price (which is still significantly cheaper than vintage figures) Nearly all I pick up in online sale events. Like the recent black Friday sales. Tunghori.com is also a good site to pick up cheap, loose figures.
But I'm only buying figures that interest me and that I think I can take some cool shots with. I'm not interested in trying to collect every figure in the vintage collection line. I also don't feel sentimentally attached to them, like I do my vintage figures. I'll weather them, set off sparklers and fireworks around them. get them covered in dirt and dust and water. I'll customise them and they are all just thrown in a drawer in my bedroom, for easy access. Where as all my vintage figures are individually preserved and wrapped in acid free tissue paper and neatly stored in clam shell cases, layered in boxes.

Re: Put The "Action" In Action Figure !!!
Thanks Clint, I'm glad you like it
The panels turned out fairly good. And mounting them onto a white acrylic background, so that they can be lit from behind, worked out pretty well too
The door way is a new addition from a 3D printed diorama seller on ebay. He has some amazing diorama sets and accessories for 3:75 scale and are very reasonably priced.

Re: Put The "Action" In Action Figure !!!
Recently A guy on Instagram contacted me, who creates and sells 2D diorama backgrounds on Etsy. He wanted my help in promoting his work, by taking a few shots using his backgrounds.
