Great pick ups, guys!
@Dave: Are you planning to collect a full set of coins which were released on cards?

Re: YOUR LATEST PICK UP'S - VOLUME 4
Hi Marco, I am not in a rush, find what I can. I know I will never be able to afford some of them. So I just enjoy collecting what I can afford.
I wish I had found out years ago I could send in $40 and get a full set!!

Hi Dave,
Well that is the spirit not being in a rush and collect at your own pace. Enjoy collecting more coins.
I only have one POTF2 coin in my collection. It is a Barada coin which came as a bonus when I bought the loose figure. years ago.
It is cool to have the figure displayed with its coin.
Cheers

Picked this up at a thrift store couldn't leave it behind for $3.00. Vintage sort of, remastered original. Haven't played a VHS in years!

Nice VHS tape David.
Good luck with the sale Ian.
If they were Canadian cards, I would be all over it.

Re: YOUR LATEST PICK UP'S - VOLUME 4
nice VHS tape David, was that just before the special edition release? I still have my original "widescreen" VHS editions. But I'm not sure that they're playable anymore. I think the tape has gone mouldy. Not that I have a VHS player any more, to play them on anyway
Some cool stuff there Ian, good luck with your sale mate

Re: YOUR LATEST PICK UP'S - VOLUME 4
So i missed out on a copy of this poster a few months ago, the auction ran and it ended up at £150, i was gutted, and told my wife so, fast forward a couple of months and my wife tells me she had found the poster and it was on the way, here's what's coming, its a reprint of the original, i'm made up she thought of me, and it does look good, i'll keep it until that time i can source an original

Re: YOUR LATEST PICK UP'S - VOLUME 4
Some great pick up guys!
Congrats on that Palitoy flyer, Ian. Never seen that before. And very kind of your wife to get you a copy of the painting competition poster.
Never saw that poster before. Is there something on the back printed as well on the original poster?
David: Those old VHS boxes have a magic appeal. Congrats.
Andy: Congrats on your Yoda with Hong Kong paper tag. Great catch.
Hopefully I can add this variant to the collection myself one day.
Cheers
Marco

Re: YOUR LATEST PICK UP'S - VOLUME 4
thanks David
So my nan recently passed, and going through some of her stuff i found a few survivors put to one side, including my childhood R2, now R2 and i had been through the mill growing up, i was abused by my parents, especially my father, and me and R2 became best buds, to help with the pain especially the bottom pain i would rub R2s dome on my nose, it helped somehow, i was self soothing as a little kid, and even though my father would occasionally throw my stuff around in a drunken rage and tried to destroy R2 he never managed it, somehow through the passage of time we got separated,i had a second one but this was the first and most special, finding him again really means a lot, he is a survivor as am i, he will stay with me now and when its my turn to go to the great beyond i have left instructions that he comes in the box with me, anyway, hope you don't mind me droning on, i know its a bit sad, here he is

Ian, I'm sorry to hear about your nan. My condolences to you and your entire family. I know you've had a tough go, watching her final days.
But what a great find and a great keep sake and memory to have of her.

Re: YOUR LATEST PICK UP'S - VOLUME 4
Hi Ian, always tough to watch helplessly as our loved ones get sick and pass away. It sounds like she was a great Nan and you and your family made lots of happy memories with her. Awesome that your R2 buddy that got you through some tough times as a kid is back with you. It's crazy what objects can do to take us away to happier places. All the best.
