Chris, Great Nein Nunb MOC. We will definitely have to show off all the folded cards soon.
David, Nice score on the minty figures & weapons. You're upgrading your collection fast.

Yep, the number of examples are getting pretty wild, I missed another one on eBay about a month ago but this one was cheaper anyway.
Re: Your Latest Pickups........ Volume 3
A little piece that I got from "Beyond the Toys" FB group.

It's the 16 oz. theater promotion ROTJ cup. This is the last piece that I needed to complete both the SW/ESB & ROTJ sets. Both sets have a pitcher, 32 oz. cup & 16 oz. cup.

I'll add better pictures of this cup to the thread soon.

Whoa, what’s going on with Leia on that photo? If it’s even is her?
The graphic on that is awesome! Anything with Salacious Cumb is like 10 points atleast.

It's the same graphic on the pitcher & 32 oz. cup. I'll try and get some group photo's up soon.
It's also one of the very few items with Slave Leia pictured.

Thanks James.
You're right about the lids.
From what I understand. The lids for the pitchers are extremely hard to find & very fragile thin plastic.

Re: Your Latest Pickups........ Volume 3
Went into a comic shop in Victoria to pick up the modern continuation of the vintage marvel comics (#108) and I found this cool 1978 “Drive yourself Crazy - Annual Idiot Issue” which features a great graphic of some character (that I don’t recognize) playing pong on Darth Vader’s chest plate. I picked this up for it’s original retail price of one dollar.

Do you guys have much info on these folded cards? I love the idea that the NN had a NN offer sticker on it.
Thanks in advance

Re: Your Latest Pickups........ Volume 3
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Basically there is an inordinate number of folded Canadian Nien Nunb cards. (Barring someone in a crusade to do it manually ) there must be some Irwin/Kenner Canada explanation. Since it was a mail away figure it seems plausible that Irwin/kenner Canada was folding and mailing out cards as they had them handy, perhaps ran out of baggies at one point and wanted to continue filling the mail away orders?
I'm not sure if anyone remembers actually receiving one that way. Between Clint and myself, we have 2 folded Canadian NN MOCs and 3 or 4 cardbacks. I know a few other collectors have cardbacks in the same condition.
I'm sure Clint would be happy to talk about it more if you're doing a segment, he's got a better handle on it than me.

Re: Your Latest Pickups........ Volume 3
I definitely received a mailer box for the Nien Nunb offer. So I have a feeling they ran out of mailers, like Chris said. Then started folding the MOC's and sent them out. All the MOC's & loose card backs that Chris & I have found are folded the exact same way, to be a coincidence. I have the mailer slip from the box to prove they sent them out as a mailer box. I kept every card back as a child, and don't have that card back with my initials on it. It would be nice to know more information. That would have been a good question for Gord Warren.

Re: Your Latest Pickups........ Volume 3
HI guys,
I haven't been posting since on Tantive for a too long time. I sincerely miss you guys.
I am very grateful to have received the REGRESO version of the Lili Ledy Darth Vader Tie Fighter two weeks ago. Ever since I had obtained the RETORNO version a few years ago I have been on the hunt for the second version of this toy/box. It was not an easy task though. Finally the quest came to an end thanks to my dear friend Ozio. Thank you!

Having both the Retorno and Regreso boxes in hand, I am able to compare them more in detail for the first time. To my surprise these boxes have subtle differences, for example in the font used for some smaller texts and for instance the battery instructions at the front panel.

Cheers guys, wishing you all a good weekend,
Marco
