ive always wanted to make one. well having decided to put the customs ideas to bed i thought i was done. however i came across a loose beater potf2 1998 leia cermonial for £1 from a carboot sale a couple weeks ago ive decided to de-modern it and make it vintage.....
Chris, Sounds interesting. It might require a lot of trimming and sanding to get rid of the big shoulders and arms?

Re: Poncho's Customs (updated october 2018)
what a horrible figure. infact the potf2 line is so musclely! i cant work with it. a vintage leia bespin torso will be used for this custom. ive seen one on RS wich ive taken inspiration from.
day 1 boil and pop and arms sanded so there are no crease lines [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

What head will you be using? You might have to deal with the neck post if it's a Leia original head.

Just catching up with this thread. Some fantastic customs Chris The King Terak figure turned out really well. I also love the 2-1b Macquarie concept figure I look forward to seeing how the ceremonial Leia custom turns out

day 5 : bracelet changed to make it more in scale to the figure and belt. neck peg has been shortened
i think the belt button are too big and they too need to be smaller[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Nice updates Chris.
That's the problem working with 3 3/4" scale toys. Once sculpts are applied, the might need some adjusting. Keep up the great work. It's coming along nicely.

Re: Poncho's Customs (updated october 2018)
while buying more primer from my local model shop to do the leia.
i had a look round in the back room there was a box on the floor full of airfix plane ships models etc....at the bottom i found this. first of all i spied the takara logo on the back of the box. i know its japanease because of the takara starwars figures ! the artwork is awesome and it looked vintage it didnt look like 90s model or 2000s it screamed 1970s1980s i was right its from 1981! ha ha NOS (new old stock) and it cost me £1.99 score. its a small diecast robot type thing. well chuffed :-)

Interesting Takara Robot. It's not very big, compared to the AA battery in the one picture. Those 2 little figures that come with it, must be damn tiny.

Re: Poncho's Customs (updated october 2018)
mettalic paint applied to torso and legs the torso turned irridesent somehow. it was white before i think the mettalic paint.somehow brought some of the original plastic torso through i could repaint it but i like and its fits in with the 70s disco look [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
