Re: Cardback collectors discussion
Andy, that's a fantastic POTF Barrada. I love how the bubble is almost an orange colour.
Thanks Nicolas. That's probably going to be the last cardbacks from me for a while.

Re: Cardback collectors discussion
Cheers, I haven't really bought many this year, prices seem to be on the rise, for my palitoy x wing card I got in a bidding war on ebay and paid around £20.00, for a damaged card that seemed a lot to me and put me off buying for a bit

Nice collection! I personally really like battered cardbacks, I find it and price tags give them a certain charm

Overdue
(I think this thread got a bit burried. )
Here's my latest addition. French Meccano with the 'UFO' punch hole and a 'Fabrique a Macao' sticker applied over the printed 'Made In Hong Kong' coo. It also had the smaller ROTJ style bubble as opposed to the larger Tri-Logo bubble seen on other European issues.

Re: Cardback collectors discussion
Very nice Mecanno, Steve
I found this Kenner (USA) Uncle Gundy card at a pawnshop a couple weeks back. Anyone ever notice that there is plainly a Yuzzum on this card art? Lol doesn't look much like the special edition one but it looks a lot like the early designs for the yuzzums in the preproduction art for ROTJ.

Re: Cardback collectors discussion
Steve, that's a fantastic Meccano Stormy cardback. It looks to be in great shape. Well done. I love the UFO shaped punch.
Chris, that's a really nice Uncle Gundy cardback. I don't have any droids or ewok cardbacks, so I didn't notice the Yuzzum on the card art. I'll try and find my "art of rotj" book, and see if I can spot the early design you're talking about.

Re: Cardback collectors discussion
Following up on my unsubstantiated claim that there is a Yuzzum on Uncle Gundy's card back, here's a Yuzzum from "The Illustrated Star Wars Universe" (1996) (The art might be ROTJ concept or made for that book), and the next pic is some purple Yuzzums from the Ewok cartoon.

Picked up a couple interesting cardbacks today,
This is a pretty clean, bright, unpunched Kenner USA Luke Jedi Cardback, but on the back there is a Toronto Canada sicker that I'm not familiar with. It might be more recently applied, there's not much I can glean from the numbers. I'm guessing Clint might know about this lol
