Lets go on an adventure!! Anyone else read "Men's Adventure" books?
I recently rediscovered an old hobby of mine. Reading "Mens Adventure" paperbacks. mainly the Executioner series featuring Mack Bolan. It was around 1987 when I got into Bolan books. A friend of mine brought one to school one day. The cover was really cool. Some guy in a combat blacksuit blowing bad guys away. I borrowed a couple and was hooked. My mom bought me my first one at the grocery store a couple of weeks later. they were on a little rack at the end of the aisle. It was Mack Bolan #101 Eternal Triangle. There's a pic of the cover below. Soon I started reading the companion books Phoenix Force and able Team along with a longer format Bolan book called a SuperBolan for it's higher page count. The series was started in 1969 by a writer named Don Pendleton. He wrote the first 38 books at which point he sold the rights to Gold Eagle and became a story supervisor.
I was straightening up my toy/comic room last November and bumped the shelf my old collection is on. One of the books fell and I picked it up and decided to read it. I'm hooked again. And now want to start hunting other books of the genre. Damn it!!! space is going to become an issue between this and Hulk stuff and comics.
A stock image of my first Bolan book.

A pic of my Bolan, Phoenix Force and Able Team collection. I have probably the first 190 books in the series. It currently sits at 445 books in the series.

Never heard of the series before. Maybe with my new reading glasses, it might be easier to start reading again.
