The blueprint sets were manufactured and originally released in 1977 / 1978 . Probably due to expense and / or lack of popularity the unsold overstock was rereleased in 1983 for Return Of The Jedi . The only difference between the original release and the ROTJ release we have shown below is the Jedi sticker stuck to the front .
