There would actually be no Star Wars. The film was sold on the basis that if George could make the film look like the pictures they'd do it.
I love his work, always wanted those port folios. I'll post a pic up later of a random book I have.

Has anyone seen or own the new one? Supposedly the largest collection of McQuarrie Star Wars art ever assembled.

The author was interviewed on the last or second last episode of vintage rebellion.

I saw it at a book store near me for $300. Unlikely to come down much because it probably wasn't a huge print run at that price point.
