thanks guys, appreciate it
changed a couple of things around

After seeing another collector show his own display base off, I decided to pinch the idea and add mine to the cabinet, only problem was I didn't have any spare ANH figures, so for the moment the empire figures are in the desert,

Hi Ian, I can spend hours looking at great vintage display pics like yours!
FANTASTIC!
The modern vintage like display base works very well.
And hey do I spot a custom vintage McQuarrie Christmas Yoda in that cabinet?

Ian, do you know whether the Saga (blue box) & Legacy (with Vader & ERG) edditions are the same? I'd rather open the Legacy version.
Hey Steve, I am a bit slow at responding.
According to RebelScum the Saga 2006 version (Target exclusive) is a repack of the Saga 2002 version (FAO Shwartz exclusive).
And both are indeed based upon the vintage mould. Just w/o electronics, other stickers, and a weathering look.

However according to Jedi Temple Archives there are some slight differences in the paint apps.
The Imperial Shuttle has a stunning paint job. It looks like a straight repack of the 2002 SW Imperial Shuttle, but there are some variances in the color of the vehicle and the way the dirt patterns were applied. There are enough differences here to consider this version unique.

Ian, did the tape dry up or was it opened on purpose? Either way, well done.

Re: Grinchys vintage collection, small but growing
Hello mate
That was a last minute ebay bid, i'm not sure its even the right figure and baggie combo, got to take a chance sometimes I guess
I didn't pay a lot for it so if it turns out to be a lemon, at least the figure is an upgrade to what I have now, waiting to hear back from an baggie enthusiast on SWUK

Re: Grinchys vintage collection, small but growing
I have this Palitoy Tie Pilot cardback with the Bounty Hunter offer, and you were able to get a Dengar figure with this offer. So your baggie might be the right combo if that's how the figure was sent to customers.

Thanks for the info and pic there Nicolas, turns out the baggie was right but the figure should have been a hong kong figure instead of the no COO I had with it, messaged the seller and got a refund, so its all well that ends well.

Re: Grinchys vintage collection, small but growing
Looking good. I've gotten tummy collection arranged similarly but I'm missing most of the higher priced potf figures, you've generally just got more stuff lol
Where did you get those staggered stands that the figures are on?

You can contact Iain (itfciain) GW Acrylic US. You can get both stands & the tiered risers.
Ian, the risers look great.

Thanks guys, glad you like them, the risers I bought from a local shopping chain called Aldi, they were only £3.99 each, not as nice as Iains, but do the job
