Cool write-up, thanks for sharing Peter.
His site looks great. I liked the section on SW filming locations.

You are welcome. I'm glad that this online article is not a copy and paste, but contained those interesting contents and historical PALITOY clippings.

Thanks for the link, Peter. Especially appreciated seeing the Palitoy company newsletters. I thought the mention of the products being ushered in for the first film's release was interesting. It notes "games, one of which is being rushed into production to co-incide with the film's opening in January."
Was that the British incarnation of the Escape from Death Star board game?

Cheers guys, glad to share this short and concise article as this is the first time I came across this online. I discovered it when I was doing an online search on Palitoy (Far East) Ltd.
I wished I can help you to confirm this, but I don't collect boxed Vintage Star Wars board games. However, if you are on Facebook and have Tan Tze Ing as your contact, he is the right person to talk to as I am aware he is doing a collecting run on this item.

Re: Brief History of Palitoy
If Inunderstand the question right the Palitoy Escape from Death Star game is the same as the Kenner one but just with a Pal logo - is that what you are asking?

But you are a geek and I'd expect you to know that! I only know because I had to find one for my SS two years back.
