Hallo I want to introduce myself to you

I'm Dirk aka Akial from Germany. I'm 47 years old and therefore a fan from the first hour. Started playing and collecting about 1978.
Ten years later my brother and me realized there are different Variants from the figures, when People lost there interest in Star Wars and we got a lot of figures for just a few bugs.  

That was the time I actually started to make vintage customs, because there was enough beater fodder.
As I have seen, here are already a lot of famous customizers. I'm very satisfied about that and will post my ones in the near future.

I do have several moc figures as well but I mainly collect loose variants. Furthermore I really love all the old cardboard playsets because of the max of simplicity and the max of effect for displaying. I most love my palitoy death star which is a really awesome playset.

I'm really impressed what you already did here in the short time and really proud to be part of it. THX to all of you.

Special thanks to Christian for the article plug on repros, and yes, I likely won't change regarding kicking U grader/repro lover ass. Of course, with the stance you guys have set, it won't even be an issue.

It certainly won't be a issue Ian There is not one guy on our team that approves of them

A few of us do use them occasionally for customs but our rule is we must drill a hole in them or paint them/modify them some way so there is no doubt they are not original I know I have never bought a repro for customs on purpose but , as I am sure most of us have , I have gotten repros in purchases that I was unaware of and they are what I use .

Awesome. I know when I was a rookie at vintage collecting in the mid 90's, I bought a set of repros to replace the ones I lost as a kid. It took time, but I weeded those out of my collection. There might be one or two kicking around I gave to the kids to use with their figures, but those have been lost around the house.

Repros are perhaps the biggest scourge of this hobby. I wish I knew better 20 years ago.

Hello everyone as far as repos I have bought sets to use with custom figures, but like James said they are drilled or modified so you can tell them apart .

No worries Ian. We have actually established our anti-repro stance in our rules and we'll be adding a rule forbidding the sale of u-grades here as well. We don't want to be too rule focussed but we thought it was important to officially show our members where we stood on these issues.

I think you know me, but for those who don't here is a short introducion.

Home: Vejle, Denmark
Age: One day older than yesterday, and one younger than tomorrow
Birth year: Ok, I'm born in 1973.
Education: Master degree in Business Administration and Auditing (cand.merc.aud.)
Occupation: Accounter/Auditor (until May 2016)
Started collecting: Got my first figure (Luke Jedi; Taiwan, pale face, green saber, sewn cape) a Saturday in 1984, but started as an adult collector in 1995, first overseas buy was in 1997.
Main focus: vintage loose variations, both Kenner and foreign (Takara, Lili-Ledy, TopToys, Glasslite, Poch, PBP, Meccano etc).
Side foci: Danish stuff pre prequels, Star Wars Commodore 64 games

My name is Sergio, surely that someone of you  know me for ebay or facebook. I have never liked the forums, but I am sure that this one will be different: big collectors, great names, are the developers and administrators of the one, that undoubtedly, will be the forum of reference in a few time for the collectors.

After collecting for many years loose vintage I sold all my complete collection    

But two years ago I returned to the game and I am constructing a new small collection. My principal focus are figures PBP.  

Congrats guys: Marco, Alex, Kenneth, Javi, Horacio, Chris and ALLLL TEAM! This looks really NICE.
