Here is one of the many spiders at the Cottage in Wasaga Beach. This one is about the size of a quarter.

Re: Mother Bugger !!!
This Moth was at our back door, when I was letting the dog out last night. Not sure what kind it is. But it's wing span was about 3" (7.62 cm), when it's wings are spread out.
Sorry for the crappy phone pictures.

James, that's an awesome caterpillar. I will have to go look thru the morning glories growing on my fence, and see if I can spot one.

Re: Mother Bugger !!!
Here's another large moth my wife took a pic of on our back porch . It's in the same family as that greenish Virginia Creeper Sphinx Moth shown earlier . This one is called a Vine Sphinx Moth and easily has a 4 " wingspan :

Re: Mother Bugger !!!
Cool
I have to look the insects up most of the time to identify them
Here's one called a Blue Winged Wasp that was feeding on the same plant …

The photos don't really do them justice on how colorful they really are . The colors change depending on what angle the light reflects off of them - red , orange , yellow , green and gold .

I'm surprised how different the male & female beetles look.
