No Coo Luke Jedi with Blue Lightsaber?
Hi All, I really love this forum, hours of propper detailed discussion.
I just bought a Luke Jedi with cape and accessories. He came with a blue lightsaber and brownish grey blaster. I bought him thinking the lightsaber and blaster are probably repro,
because he is a no coo version, which were meant to come with the green lightsaber (he didn't cost me a lot). However these accesseries look very convincing, and the lightsaber seems to tick all the boxes. Is it possible I might have a genuine blue lightsaber here? The blaster seems a bit too sharp in some of the detailing to be real?
Many thanks,
Paul

Thank you Clint, that means these are the wrong weapons for this Luke. But does that mean they are both repros?
Many thanks,
Paul

The weapons might not be repros. They may belong to one of the other COO's.
It's too hard to tell from your weapon picture.
Hopefully some of the other collectors will be able to help.

Cheers Clint. I haven't been collecting original accessories long, although I always had quite a large Star Wars collection from childhood (I was borne in 1977!), the weapons just disappeared. I have recently concentrated on getting all the original droids on card, and I now have all the different R2-D2 variants, as I am obsessed with R2 (I am a little guy).

Hey [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
It's difficult to tell from your pics. But the floating repro, blue saber has lots of little lines running all the way along the blade. the curve of the hilt, where it meets the handle is more rounded, compared to an original. And the rectangle recess around the three buttons is wider on the repro. Sorry I don't have any compaison pics of repro vs original sabers yet.
Apparently all original palace blaster mold variants have a small raised dot, close to the barrel. The floating repros do not have this dot. In my pic below I have marked the dot with an arrow. As well as adding a repro blaster below it for comparison.

Welcome aboard Paul
As Chris pointed out , due to your gun missing the dot , I would say your gun is repro .
I can't tell for sure with the saber pic but it looks as if the hilt may be rounded
Rounded hilt sabers are definitely repros -
