Star Wars General Mills Cereal Trading Cards and Official Card Case

1978 Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corp. American Premium Corp.

There were 18 cards in this set , although "cards" is a very liberal way to describe them . They were printed on a slightly thick piece of paper (about the thickness of construction paper) and are much thinner and flimsier then a standard trading card that is printed on card stock . The cards were available in boxes of Big G cereals .

There are 5 sequential Star Wars series and each series has 66 cards & 11 stickers .

Series 1 (1977 Blue Border Cards : 1 - 66 / Stickers 1 - 11)

There are 2 display boxes shown for this series . A series 4 box with a series 5 sticker and a actual series 5 box .

THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK SETS

There are 3 sequential Star Wars series . Series 1 and 2 each have 132 cards & 33 stickers ; Series 3 only has 88 cards and 22 stickers .

O-PEE-CHEE TRADING CARDS (CANADA)

The Canadian released O-Pee-Chee Star Wars Trading Cards are the same as the USA released Topps sets , except they have both English and French text . Note the 10 cent price tag on the Series 1 wrappers (the Topps packs were 15 cents) .

The Canadian Series 3 set was a combination of the Topps sets 3 and 4 (with both Engligh & French text as well .) There are 131 cards and 21 stickers in a complete set .

This set also has an error card that is unique to O-Pee-Chee . Card # 183 is titled "Ken" Kenobi :

There were 36 cards in this set that was distributed by Burger King . They can be found in sheets of 6 or strips of 3  .

MONTY FABRIEKEN TRADING CARDS

LFL 1983 / 1984 Monty Factories ( Made In Holland )

The Monty ROTJ set was made in Leiden , Netherlands and contains 100 cards . The cards are much smaller then Topps / O-Pee-Chee trading cards that were made in the US and Canada . There is no text on the back of the cards to provide any information and , the cards themselves , do not have the "Monty" name anywhere on them . The cards do have the LFL copyright and are marked 1983 / 1984 on the fronts .

Unlike the waxy Topps / OPC card wrappers , the wraps for these cards are more like a paper bag in design . The backs of the wrappers have the LFL copyright , the Monty company name and "Made and Printed in Holland" . Each pack contained 6 cards that were perforated and joined together which needed to be separated .
