Open Bubble Lili Ledy Figures - Madhunter Juguetes Antiguos
I stumbled upon this channel while working on the Vintage Rebellion's YouTube page (gonna be adding a lot of content over there soon from past episode segments).
This collector describes a recent find of 6 open bubble Ledy figures, its a cool story and the pieces are really nice to see. I had the subtitles on as the video is in Spanish. Beautiful to see the R2 and 3PO with unique card art side by side. This guy is a real character.
He starts talking about the Star Wars figures at 11:54.

Thanks for sharing this video Chris, I enjoyed watching t very much.
Great set of Retorno cards with childhood figures.
Nice to see that most of these Retorno cards indeed came with the early figures, as expected: Blonde hair Luke Bespin, HK Yoda with orange eyes, DV with thin cape and thin saber!
However R2 is not the 1978 version, and C-3PO is not the 3-line version. Maybe these figures had been released even earlier on the illusive “Imperio Contraataca” cardbacks.

You're saying those coo variants don't belong with those cardbacks?
Re: Open Bubble Lili Ledy Figures - Madhunter Juguetes Antiguos
Hey Chris, what I meant to say - and which was mentioned by the maker of the video as well - was that one would expect to see the Lili Ledy 1978 R2 and 3-line C-3PO on those early Retorno cardbacks. As these are early version figures like the other figures mentioned in the video (thin cape Darth Vader, blond Luke etc.) However there were regular Lili Ledy R2 and C-3PO figures on these cardbacks.
So I was thinking maybe these two figures, i.e. 1978 R2 and 3-line C-3PO were released on the even earlier Empire 10-backs (“Imperio Contraataca”) .
Hopefully it is more clear now.
Cheers
Marco
