Cincinnati Toy Show 2018
I was lucky enough to spend the weekend at the Cincinnati Toy Show. I drove down with a couple other Ontario collectors and we got to meet several amazing people and there were a ton of shocking items for sale.
I'm going to keep adding photos and details here today but I thought I'd get the ball rolling.

Some great pics there, looks like a good mix of stuff, I love seeing vintage on the pegs and on sale, costs a tad more than the original prices though
those silicone moulds look interesting, were they for star wars or something else?

Mike had decided to go much earlier and had a hotel booked. Then he chirped me till I decided to go, even though the weekend was 2/3 driving. Left 6am Saturday, got back 9pm Sunday. Certainly the most insane items I've ever seen when it comes to prototypes.

Yeah, it's pretty great. That one is even missing the clear dome and it was like 300 something USD.
I also met the guy who has almost all the pre-production items for the canceled 1979 3.75" Alien line from Kenner. I think he was a local guy in Cincinnati.

There are some very sweet items there, the Bona Fett is awesome looking I can imagine it was not cheap.
Looking at some of the prices made me want to know more about the figure, one that caught my eye was the R2-D2 in the 5th photo down above the Jurassic Park pin, if I read the price right it was over $400 but I wasn't sure on that. I would have loved to go through the beater section as well.
It looked like a fair size show with a nice variety as well.

Hey Larry, I think that was just a "pop-up saber" R2, yes, the prices for them are silly these days.

Fantastic pictures Chris, glad you had a great time in October.
Did you pick anything up?
Would love to get to a toy fair like this, bit of a long journey though!

I got some POTF2 Concept sketches (just cause I wanted something from the local Kenner office while it was still operating and that was cool and affordable ) and a vintage Star Wars Toy Center shelf talker as it was a great price at room sales from a very reputable source. I submitted it to CAS at the show so I haven't got it back yet.
