The last Jedi Discussion (Possible Spoilers Ahead).
Well, having bought my ticket on November 29th, I saw it this morning.
Has anyone else this side of the Atlantic seen it yet?
There was a nod to this meme :
But we didn't get this :

Here in Ontario, it doesn't hit the theaters until tomorrow, possibly midnight tonight in some theaters. I'm not planning to see it until after Christmas.

One thing I will say, having seen all the SW movies at the cinema, it still gave me a thrill to hear the music and see the opening scroll on the big screen! It took me right back to the excitement I felt as a Child!

Yeah I’ve been dodging spoilers since the first teaser (which is all I’ve seen), got tickets for Saturday.
Re: The last Jedi Discussion (Possible Spoilers Ahead).
I watched the trailers, but avoided the reviews that follwed the premier as I wanted to see it with an open mind.
In case any spoilers appear here, I would avoid checking this thread until you've seen it Chris.

I saw it and really liked it, its getting a lot of hate in other online places, but to me it was a decent star wars film, no spoilers here, need to see it again really

Re: The last Jedi Discussion (Possible Spoilers Ahead).
There’s some interesting stuff in there. It’s just a shame that, with all the money & some of the best minds in the business, they couldn’t cut a few of those brutal lines & scenes.
Re: The last Jedi Discussion (Possible Spoilers Ahead).
I was a little confused after watching it. I liked the plot but I found it difficult to engage with the characters and I found a lot of the scenes and acting really hammy. I didn't hate it but something just didn't sit right with me. Maybe I'll enjoy it more after a second viewing, as I did Rogue One.
Re: The last Jedi Discussion (Possible Spoilers Ahead).
The Rose and Finn stuff really bothered me lol primarily their lack of urgency, looking around the casino with googly eyes and talking about animal rights while the resistance were being shot to pieces, dying by the minute. Also, Ackbar should have had all of "purple hair"'s lines, and that suicide lol
Re: The last Jedi Discussion (Possible Spoilers Ahead).
I also need to see it again, as although there were some great scenes, others were rather cheesey & left me cold. One of the highlights for me was seeing the return of a certain 'little' OT character.
Now you've seen it Chris, you'll know why I questioned your use of this picture:

Re-watched it last night and enjoyed it a lot more than the first viewing.
Re: The last Jedi Discussion (Possible Spoilers Ahead).
Just watched it for the first time this afternoon.
It reminded me a lot of the ESB Hoth battle scene & the ROTJ Emperor's thrown room battle scene.
I'm still processing what I saw, but overall, I didn't hate it as much as TFA. I probably won't go to the theater to see it again, but will probably pick it up on dvd when it comes out.
There is definitely stuff that I missed. I didn't notice Luke wasn't leaving foot prints in the salt. My wife pointed that one out to me.
