30th anniversary coin album, basic set complete

Hasbro came out with a coin album for the thirtieth anniversary, a nice well made album featuring artwork from all the movies up to that point, a nice idea to add something in with the basic figure, I must say I love this line, the packaging is great and looks cool.
I bought an nearly complete album on ebay around five years ago and recently completed the basic set of sixty coins, there are a further twenty spaces for chase coins and spares, i'll see if I can pick these up eventually, but i'm happy to have the basic set, also there was a further boxed set of coins, picked those up to

Nice run Ian. At least completeing that set should be pretty easy and affordable when compared to vintage.

Cheers mate, the basic coins I managed to get for a couple of pounds each, the gold coins being rarer are a lot more expensive, glad to have the basic set complete, if I managed to get the full run including the rares it would be nice but I'm on a budget
I imagine a full set of original coins would be extremely expensive, is that something you collect?

Ian, that's fantastic news completing the basic set. I know nothing about coins. Are the 30th anniversary coins similar to the vintage ones?

No, I don't collect the vintage ones, as a full set would be very difficult and like you say, incredibly expensive to build up. Besides, they have never really appealed to me.

I've got a full set of the 30th aniversary ones moc though, as at the time I was still collecting modern figures, and the set in the presentation box that you showed above. I've also got the boxed POTF2 coin/figure sets from 1997.

Glad you have the full set of figures mate, I cheated and bought most of the coins in the folder would love to see the potf 2 coin sets

Very nice coins Ian I only own one coin, a vintage Yak that was my very first purchase as an adult

Like a lot of POTF2 stuff, these can now be bought mib cheaper than what I paid in 1997.

Hey Andy, that's a rare coin to have, very nice!
And Steve I have seen those before, they are really nice sets, might have to get some of those, its a shame they didn't keep there value, but they look great!

The anniversary coins are plastic not metal and are double sided, I believe the original coins were metal double sided, it would have been nicer if these coins were metal, but you can't have everything, they have nice artwork on them and look nice on display, I love them personally, and glad to have them near complete apart from the gold chase coins

Are the coins from the Ralph McQuarrie concept figures part of the 30th series/fit in that coin book?
