Third Paploo Variant ?
When I took a close look to my Paploo's I realized there are three different belt colours. Not only two as I wrote here
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
and on TIG. My third one has a yellow belt, which is very clearly to be seen on the pic. Furthermore this one is my childhood Paploo (for 100% sure there is no touch up!!!). I bought the other two to get the second variant and realized to have actually three
Does anybody of you guys have ever seen this yellow one?
Paploo dark orange belt, yellow belt, light orange belt

Re: Third Paploo Variant ?
Great stuff Dirk, thanks for sharing your discovery with us.
The lighter, yellow or light orange belt is interesting, I have not seen one like it before.
It is hard to say if this is a variation in batch paint colour (left the factory looking this way) or whether it is a result of discolouration?
Even if a moc example is found with the lighter belt, unfortunately you still can't rule out the possibility of the belt paint being of a transformant/discoloured nature.
The best way to prove whether this is due to discolouration, would be to try and find a two tone example, one that is in mid transformation.
I take it that the third, darker belt variation is due to no paint being applied at all?
below are pics of my Paploo, his belt is lighter in colour, but as he is my only one, I have no other basis for comparison.
I believe mine to be the mid tone belt featured on the right of your picture Dirk.
Does anyone else have a Paploo with the much lighter belt colour?

My version is here

I think Marco had an odd belt version. He mentions in the write up that the belt colour can come in "dark & bright orange" and probably is due to discolouration.

Thanks Clint.
I am 95% sure that the lighther colour belt is due to discolouration. I have a Paploo figure having a belt with orange and yellow patches. Let me post the pics later today.

Re: Third Paploo Variant ?
Sorry I kept you waiting so long, Dirk.
The colour differences are most probably due to degradation of the dyes/pigments in the used paint.
See for instance the Paploo below having a belt with bright and dark orange patches combined into one belt.

This is great, if you've got this much information, we should really start collectively formatting these things like scientific papers lol if only for the amusement factor.
Re: Third Paploo Variant ?
Thanks Marco for adding this.
