Palitoy 65 Boba Fett
Hey guys, I just want to start this off by saying that I'm super excited to have picked this up and I'm not terribly worried about it because the seller was referred to me and I've got his cell number and hes semi local. I'm posting this because its boba fett, its on one of the "toy tony" cardbacks, and its got a really clear bubble.
I believe I was aware of the toy toni factors when I bought this, and looking it over at the time of purchase I wasn't too worried but I'd feel a lot better if you guys took a look. Please share this with anyone who might know better.
I have created a dropbox link with some high res versions of the same pics, if this isn't allowed for some reason please close it.

Sketchy Points
- Same cardback associated with the scam
- its boba fett
- bubble is super clear
Positive Points
- I don't notice any of the triangular iron marks that ive seen associated with that scam
- it seems to have the warp marks from the "press" that was used to factory seal the bubbles (but im not an expert)
- General Card Damage
- Scuzz on the film's logo (orange-ish mark around the D and I of Jedi)
- warped on the top right corner

Re: Palitoy 65 Boba Fett
Just found this quote at action figure resource, although its not a 45 back the angle of the figure in the bubble looks as this describes:
"There have also been a number of Boba Fett 45 back card fakes, which are easy to spot due to the action figure being too large for the bubble and the figure is crammed in at an angle." - See more at: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re: Palitoy 65 Boba Fett
The 65 backs are not on the list, so hopefully it's ok. Hopefully someone will be able to help. You might have to go over to SWFUK and ask those guys there. They were the ones that outed TT.

Re: Palitoy 65 Boba Fett
Yeah you're right, the post on TIG seems to list only 45c Fetts. I just posted it here because Jared from tracker thought that the scandal is probably why there aren't any more recent documented sales.
I had previously had it mistaken for a different card on tracker, (so assuming it's on the level) I got it for a very decent price. I'm just a bit overwhelmed looking at all the info related to the scam. i think the biggest thing is the bubble variations, I had no idea there were so many lol like those two stemmed ones with the iron marks are pretty obvious. Mine looks like he doesn't really fit right in this bubble though.
I looked at some confirmed 45's and they seem to have that double stemmed bubble. Given the details, I was probably over-reacting posting it here lol but cant hurt to have a couple second opinions.

Re: Palitoy 65 Boba Fett
Yeah I saw that. Thanks for the recommendation. That guy is on top of it lol
I don't know if you clear posts in here once they turn out to be unfounded or if this was just the first one lol but yeah chalk that up to paranoia.
The bubble is really good then

Re: Palitoy 65 Boba Fett
It would be good to leave it up for reference.

Re: Palitoy 65 Boba Fett
If Jason says it's good then it's good....Good to hear.
About the iron marks, I think these only apply to Toni's earlier and less evolved work. I actually have one of these, my first vintage MOC purchase. I was a bit sus about it and posted about it on RS. My first ever post there and before the scandal came out. Well now we know....

Re: Palitoy 65 Boba Fett
Interesting. I think what had me the most concerned was the age of some of the Toy Toni documentation and cardback lists, combined with a general unfamiliarity with the range of bubbles available on the palitoy Jedi figures.
That said, I probably wasn't looking at the best or most up to date resourses.
Anyway thanks everyone for the assistance.
