Re: The "WHAT IF..." series
Again some great figures. Who is 178 supposed to be? The imperial minister, or is that 186?

Thanks a lot
I apreciate your kindness.
Well, the 178 is LAFOE, the guy that was inside the cantina and saw the incident among Luke, Obi-Wan, Evazan and Walrusman, and then run outside to find some Sandtroopers to report it to them. He had just a few seconds on camera, but I thought it was interesting to have them out there.
186 is the imperial minister, now I onlyy need to make one last of the dignitaies and all of them would be prototyped. I liked the color of this one a lot to make.
Re: The "WHAT IF..." series
Yesterday was end of the month, so it is time for a new installment of The Vintage Studio´s WHAT IF SERIES.
After the success of the Jabba´s Throne room playset, we decided to visit the playset realm once again.
If there is an scene of the movie I wanted to recreate when I was a child, it was without any doubt the streets of the Mos Eisley Space Port.
With the recent release of the Sandtroopers Action Figures, the
Mos-Eisley playset became a must. I inspired in a modern diorama some fan posted years ago in Rebelscum, if my memory works.
If you want to check previous installments, plese follow the link: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

That's fantastic. One of my favourite scenes from the original movie.

Stellar job, Arturo!
You really know how to approach the good old vintage feeling with your customs and designs.
I love the Mos Eisley setting. Back in 2010, I was inspired by the Mos Eisley spaceport and our national Queens Day to make a scene in which Princess Leia is welcomed as a hero on Tatooine after the Empire was defeated.

Thanks a lot Dr. D! Im very happy you like it.
Wow man, but what you did is much better by far! It looks great, I love it. Not only the execution, the idea is fantastic.
That Alderaan captain looks great! love the helmet.
Congratulations! do you have more? I would love to see it.
Re: The "WHAT IF..." series
I was toying with the idea of the "what if" perfect vintage Kenner starter set.
This one is what in my mind would have been perfect.
Sandtrooper, because only 1 stormie was not enough,
Rebel Fleet trooper, no need to explain that,
and Tarkin just because how they did missed him?

Following the tradition, here you have the "If Kenner would have ..." add for the Rebel Trooper.

Re: The "WHAT IF..." series
I wanted to post the last pages for this year before New years eve.
I started this project on January 2016, cant believe an entire year has pass.
When I see it in retrospective, and think about all the work needed to create this altern universe, I can only feel it was worthy.
Mates Adm. of the forum, ...page number 23 was made thinking about you.
I swear I had no idea, absolutelly no idea, how epic the scene depicted in page 23 was going to become when I made the playset and took the pictures. I was thinking only about ep IV. hall invasion, and just added Vader because that is what Kenner would have done.

Re: The "WHAT IF..." series
I loved seeing these and studied everyone. Absolutely amazing.
I recently bought a set of the 2nd wave of unreleased Droids and Ewoks and they look great on display.
Also bought the chappy from the Ewok Movie from Alice.

Re: The "WHAT IF..." series
Hi guys!
I have been a little absent of the forums, recharging batteries.
but here we go again!
No new "What if Series" installments for January and February, but in March it will be back, I have been working in the custom characters and playsets.
However, with the release of the Rebel Trooper of The Vintage Studio, I have been playing through other approachs.

Re: The "WHAT IF..." series
And, you can see here the Vintage Styled custom commercial for the Rebel Trooper, by Jason Langerdorfer.
Part of the feeling of the old days was to see Kenner commercials with new action figures in the Tv, so in our attempt to recreate the old days,
here you have it:
and the Sandtrooper commercial too:

Thanks for adding the commercials. They definitely had the vintage feel to them.
