Yeah, that movie was pretty good. Fairy tasteful tribute to the universal monsters in my opinion, though some would disagree lol

Lol that Poster for Absolutely anything! Simon Pegg has risen and Kate Beckinsale has fallen so that the two can meet and be lead romantic interests in one of his films.
Just watched 'Canibal Holocaust' (1980) with the girlfriend last night, jolly good time.$3.99 rental on Xbox, tons of disclaimers up front.

I love cannibal holocaust . In the 70"s and 80"s there was only 7 cannibal movies made even though they get spoken about like they were a genre that was widely exploited . Cannibal ferox is the other great cannibal movie of those years . Great stuff except for the animal scenes which back then had no regulations for cruelty

That stuff was pretty brutal but its kinda funny how much more of a stigma there is around filming that, far beyond the stigma around hunting. I'm willing to bet some of that stuff was eaten on set.
Don't get me wrong, it was hard to watch at times but that's just due to my soft western upbringing lol
The reason we watched it was because we were in a shop that had some German and Japanese original posters for sale, this was in there:

and she wouldn't leave without it lol having never seen the film.

Anyone watching Stranger Things season 2? I just started and it's only okay so far. First season was INCREDIBLE so it has set really high standards.

Hmm, I'd bet that will be a one or two season venture, given the new disney streaming service.

That's hilarious lol it certainly does have a video game feeling of "non canon" about it.
I just watched "Logan", it was a nice end cap to a 15 year X-Men series which was predominantly awesome and on average, far more interesting than the Marvel Studios fare, and I'm glad they were able to end that series properly now that the mouse has purchased Fox.... Disney owns Alien & Predator.... and Avatar....

Great films of their time, my favourite was Ferox but totally agree about the animal scenes, there was no need but as you say regulations where different
Here is my copy
Chris that is a super cool poster

I've never seen the cannibal films, the animal stuff i'd heard about put me off them, just watching day of the dead followed by dawn on bluray, love the fx in these movies.
As for what i'm listening to, at the moment got stevie wonder playing, as well as George Michael, and Michael Jackson, plus more motown type stuff

The mini series "Godless" was pretty good. It's a western, made by Netflix.
