RUB DOWN TRANSFERS - Magicuento , Letraset , Presto Magix etc ...

I am unsure as to posting this on the correct thread; this is an Empire Strikes Back "Magicuento" from Mexico (apparently licensed), which was a very popular booklet/toy for kids back in the eighties. Basically, you rubbed down adhesive images onto the paper, which had a printed scenario in it. The nicest thing I find about this one is the text on the back of the booklet. It is a poorly-penned intergalactic story that accompanies the images. In it, Darth Vader is also referred to as "Prince of Darkness". And it's also Darth Vater, actually. It also mentions a "Nebulous City" (from which Vater was prince of, apparently, while sitting in his "Sterverter throne" in his castle and commanding his Robotanks), a clock aptly named Alpha 222 because apparently hours in space where called Alpha Hours, a spaceship called Cosmos 82 and – of course – R2-D2 is named "Arturito" (which was and still is quite common in Mexico), though he is referred to as a "metallic man" : D. The art corresponds, though, comparatively correctly to the film. It is funny that the picture on the back, which displays the adhesive images, depicts a colourless Fett, which resembles the prototype.

Fantastic Transfers man

I had no idea those even existed - super freaking cool

I have merged your transfers with my Presto Magix transfers into one "Rub Down Transfer" thread

I know there are others available from a couple English companies as well , and I wouldn't be surprised if there were other countries that produced them too . Hopefully we will get lucky and someone will have other examples to show us

The Presto Magix posts were in the Art's and Crafts thread but , since Mosh posted his kick ass Mexican version , I decided that the rub down transfers were worthy of their own thread

Hey @ourchickenshack, do your transfer booklets have comparable texts as to the Mexican one? I'm curious. As a kid I would've killed to have a rub-down transfer from the Hoth combat.
