Re: YOUR LATEST PICK UP'S - VOLUME 4
A few items that I've picked up lately. The patches and pins were all from one big lot. I think the most interesting piece may be the Kenner lapel pin. I can't find any information on it yet.
The Kenner X-Wing patch is a repro, but the Kenner DV Sweepstakes patch may be original. I'm still looking into it.

Re: YOUR LATEST PICK UP'S - VOLUME 4
James, It kind of looks like the first repro one you are showing. It's really hard to tell. But I'll keep checking.
I thought it might be a repro, but took a chance on it anyway.
It turns out the Kenner lapel pin was a piece of swag. I posted it over on the Beyond the Toys FB page.

Re: YOUR LATEST PICK UP'S - VOLUME 4
It would be fantastic if it is original. It's definitely really close.
I was wondering it these 2 lines are supposed to be there or not?
Edit. I just went back and looked at the one Chris G. sold recently on FB, and those lines aren't on the one he sold. So it's looking more like an original.

Re: YOUR LATEST PICK UP'S - VOLUME 4
can't say for sure on the 2 lines your pointing out but they could just be slight stitching variances . Looking at the overall pattern yours is almost identical to the original , definitely closer to the original than the repro

Re: YOUR LATEST PICK UP'S - VOLUME 4
Another little pick-up. Loose & no packaging.
Seller said it makes noise but doesn't move. I'm pretty sure I see why. I will have test it out and look at it later when I have some time.
edit. After reading the instructions that James posted in the Cobot thread. That side wire is just fake. It looks like the front 3rd leg wheel is the only drive wheel. It's probably the motor inside that's seized up.
edit 2: The motor is working. The little gears at the foot need some tender loving care and re-alignment.
edit 3: The gears mesh up now, but it seems like the wheel axle is bent slightly.

Re: YOUR LATEST PICK UP'S - VOLUME 4
Nice Meccano card back Andy! Cool item as well Clint!
I picked up a couple magazines featuring writeups and pics for ESB and ROTJ new films. The one had an ad to join the Fanclub and had a pic of the patch you picked up. Thought it might be of interest so I added a pic.

That Cobot is awesome Clint and great pick up on the adverts David
One of these Retro Robot bootleg Stormtroopers came yesterday
[400][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][/400]
It's made of solid brass and weighs a tonne but the attention to detail is amazing
I'll take better pics soon, Vader is currently in production

Andy. Those brass stormies look great. Well done.
David. That looks like a great "vintage like" SW puzzle.

Seasons greetings boys
Just made a old school custom. Vintage style garindan longsnoot.
Redone the belt and added a gun holster and strap to make it different from the DSC sculpt Also repurposed a repro weapon to make a communicator. I also made a youtube video to accompany the build [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
