I spent a few hours at FanExpo in Toronto and I thought I'd share photos. There were some great vintage Star Wars items for sale, maybe a bit of a "convention tax" on some of them, but they were pretty high end pieces. I've included a couple photos of the area surrounding the convention center for those of you who are not familiar with Toronto.

Most of the dealers were familiar faces from local toy shows but they tend to bring out the big ticket items for an event like this. I decided to get a ticked for opening day so there would be all the crazy items and less people, but the downside is: there isn't as much crazy cosplay going on, so I have less photos of that than I did last year.

There was a Canadian 12B Chewbacca here, for sale at $2500CAD, that might be around market value as far as I know, I got one with a small bubble crack this year for $500 though. I really wanted that Canadian ROTJ R2 Sensor Scope, the card looked so vibrant and clean but it was $350, I've got ICCC coming up and I'd rather pay more for an ESB, to be honest.

There were a few interesting European cards as well. This was all from the same dealer, he's a good guy, I've got many Canadian Droids & Ewoks figures from him in the past, all quite reasonably priced and in great shape.

Here's a quick peak at the Hasbro display for those of you who are passively interested in modern, at least to the extent of looking at pictures of the new stuff. I mean, this 6" scale Mynock is pretty damn cool. Personally I did pick up the Vintage Collection 3-pack. If you could buy the Mynock by itself, I probably would have.

I hope you guys enjoyed that, I might have some fun follow-up stuff to ad as I've got some friends still there today who are hunting some exclusive stuff for me.

I had this micro machines set as a kid, had tons of fun with it.

It's great that you made it to Fan Expo. It looks like it was a good time.
One of these times, I'll have to make the trip into the city, and go to it.

It’s worth it for a day pass anyway. Not sure I’d be interested in the full 4 day experience.
Re: FanExpo Canada 2018
Great photos as usual Chris! Wouldn't expect anything less from you....
Looks like there was a good deal of vintage there. From what a hear from other friends there were some pretty good comic artists there as well.
Glad you had a good time mate.

Re: FanExpo Canada 2018
Thanks, Clint. I usually try to avoid taking pictures of it because every possible angle already exists x10000
You’re right about how many comic artist there were, Christian, there was a huge section in one of the halls that was all comic artists doing signings. It was set up the same was as the actor area in the other hall. And “Artist’s Alley” was massive as usual.
I also saw Neal Adams (he usually comes to the bigger Canadian conventions). It’s kinda nice now accessible he is, he will say something wild and controversial if you buy anything at his booth lol that Superman vs. Mohamed Ali cover though.

Thanks for sharing. Great pictures Chris... I liked your very first photo that had a reflection of the CN Tower (you may have found a new angle).
What was the grade/price of the vinyl cape Jawa, if you recall?

I don't remember but people seem to think a nice graded one of those is worth like $2600 these days. I'd rather buy a pair of carded ROTJ Fetts, thanks. Or a really nice 12-back
