Star Wars at the Movies - Podcast

Stephen Danley has started a new podcast.  If anyone hasn't heard it yet.  I recommend giving it a listen.

He's also got some great articles & blogs that are very well done.

I could listen to the Chive cast every week, (maybe more than that would be pushing it lol) so I'm always looking for new podcasts. I remember Steve mentioning this on one of the recent episodes, thanks for the reminder.

James - I hadn't realized that there was another U.S. printing of the program! Thanks so much for sharing that information. I'll be sure to update the article to note the 4th U.S. printing. This is exactly what I'm hoping will happen as more content is added to the site - folks with much more knowledge than me will make sure that it's as accurate and comprehensive as possible.

The "At the Movies" podcast has been on a bit of a hiatus as well, but I'm slowly but surely putting together the next episode, which I hope will make up for the absence with a bit longer running time and more content. Stay tuned, and thanks for the kind words on the project!

It took a lot longer than I'd hoped, but I recently released Episode 4 of the "At the Movies" podcast which centers around a special venue in the original film's theatrical history: the Westgate Theatre in Oregon. I was lucky to have 3 great guests in this episode (a patron, the theater's manager, and a film journalist) to help tell the story of STAR WARS at the Westgate:

Ep 4: 532 Days of STAR WARS at the Westgate

There's a brief discussion of a box of Early Bird figures that the manager had recovered from the theater, and we'd actually talked about this find in detail with Chris Fawcett last year on 'Chive Cast 77, so it was nice to come full circle on that.

The focus will be on the present for the next little while with THE LAST JEDI upon us, but I'll be getting back to the classics in the New Year.

Really appreciate the support for the podcast and website here on Tantive.

Steve, that was a great episode. I enjoyed all the interviews. Especially the one with Dave Ewing, and all his stories about working in the theater & the box of figures.

Just finished listening to Ep 6: L'EMPIRE est le Meilleur with Zia Rezvi. That was a great interview with Zia, and listening to how he grew up with SW in Belgium.
