Star Wars holiday edition boxed figures,
Ho Ho Ho! its February,
Thought i'd make a post of another of my favourite Hasbro sub lines, the holiday editions!
starting in 2002 with the first edition, featuring R2 and Threepio in front of a roaring fire, the set is based on Art by star wars artist Ralph McQuarrie, he did a series of greeting cards for lucasfilm and the sets are based on them for the most part

The set was pretty popular so the following year they followed it with yoda dressed as Santa which is my favourite of the four

Again it was another good seller, so the following year they did the Jawas with presents, again the sets came with a greeting card you could fill in and send to a loved one

Finally It looks like they ran out of ideas, and the last edition was just a standard vader figure done in a candy red with a nice base, I still like it but its not as good as the other sets, its the only one I have both boxed and loose

Re: Star Wars holiday edition boxed figures,
Very nice Ian, I've got a set myself somewhere. Have you got the Vader / Luke Bespin Fathers Day pack?

Hey mate, its a nice set, I have it on display year round, I don't have the fathers day set, though it is on my radar, see if I can get one this year
