Is this a ledy squidhead or what .... driving me insane !!!

hey guys , so I need a regular cape lili ledy squidhead and purchased this minty one for a bit of cash with the full intention of doing what I always do with graded figures cracking em open and putting them in my display .

is this a ledy squid? the sticker is confusing me and the guides are quite vague on ledy squids that aren't a burgundy cape .
I don't wanna crack him outta his tomb without being sure but this is literally driving me bonkers .
I mean kenner ? made in mexico?                
ive compared him to my red cape squidder but he seems different

the hand and wrist paint is glossy so that's I good thing I know but the damn afa sticker is making me doubt my dumb purchase .
help me ledy experts , your my only hope

They possibly put MIM on the sticker, because it might have come off a MIM card.  From what I understand about the MIM cards, are the accessories could be either Kenner or LL.  But the figure itself should be a LL.  But I'm not an expert on the MIM Cards.  I think Steve [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] collects them.  Hopefully he will chime in.

In my opinion, the figure looks Ledy Bill. The cape & skirt look kenner, but it is common for MIM figures to come with Kenner accessories (I'm not aware of a Kenner MIM Squid that doesn't have Kenner soft goods). I've got loose & moc examples, so I'll compare mine to yours tomorrow. Does the gun look Ledy?

As the figure is 'U' graded I would say that it definitely came off a Kenner MIM card (they are pretty common).

I'm still after a Ledy 'green' cape example myself. The ones with a 'Bib Fortuna' fabric collar are particularly hard to find.

the gun looks like a lighter kenner one . crap I have a feeling im not gonna be happy about this but I haven't opened him so i'll be returning him if he turns out to have kenner accessories (which is what I thought) the seller advertised him as ledy that's where my reluctance initially kicked in . thanks guys!

on a side note Steve its funny how hard it is to find one these days . when I got my red caped squid they were much harder to find than the regular cape ones now I feel its the opposite

I agree Bill, there definitely appears to be more burgandy ones advertised these days.

Hi Bill, I've just dug out and double checked my loose / carded Kenner MIM examples. As I indicated, both have a ribbed Kenner cape (a true ledy should have the same texture to the fabric as the burgandy version). However, the loose one does have a LL belt (LL marked on the inside). My carded sample has a Ledy gun, but I have seen moc examples with a Kenner gun.  As expected for Kenner MIM, both figures are Ledy with the typical glossy, sticky paint.
Although it's not what you wanted, it is a legit variant.

Its totally helpful , i figured that there was something up when i saw the cape in hand . The made in mexico card thing is something i really never researched being a loose only collector . Oh well ill send him back for a refund . Thanks

Isn’t the burgundy cape variant for LL Squidhead somewhat common? Thats interesting that the normal coloured one has the same fabric texture as the burgundy one, Steve.

I was just talking to a store owner yesterday who was selling a MIM US Lando skiff and he said “yep, if you ripped it off the card, you’d essentially have a LL Lando.” Lol he seemed knowledgeable about everything else. I’ve also heard the weapons could be either.

I'm happy to help Bill, I'm just sorry it's not the outcome you wanted. In case you're not aware there are 13 Kenner MIM characters. I'm still after a carded Yoda to complete the set, but they don't show up that often and prices are just... well... say no more.

yeah me too , its amazing that he tried to pull that but ebay sided with me quite quickly as it was delivered to his house . no harm no foul but I had to call him out for trying to keep the figure and my money . the auction clearly stated lili ledy
and he tried to act as though he told me what you guys did before I purchased the figure . oh well the hunt continues
