Introducing myself
Hi,
I would like to introduce myself, I live in the S.E of England, and am old enough to know better...
I have been collecting Star Wars MOCs for about a year now and my collection is coming on ok.
This is second time around, I collected in the 80s and 90s again mainly MOCs and had a large collection towards the end.
My memories of Cheshunt and Basildon fairs are still very vivid, remember this was pre internet days, so these were my only way to buy, how times have changed.
Circumstances changed and I stopped collecting, packed everything up and stored it away. In 2012 for some unknown reason I contacted an auction house and sold everything.
I never stopped looking at SW MOCs on line (eBay) reading articles and lurking around forums, in 2016 I discovered the "Vintage Rebellion " and started listening.
This opened the floodgates and SW was back in my focus, much to my wife's amazement!
Have been with SWFUK for a while now, but the vintage rebellion guys continue to mention Tantive XI on their podcast here I am.
So any blame must lie with the rebellion guys!!!

Re: Introducing myself
It's great to have you aboard Mini99. Can't wait to see some photos of your collection.
I've been collecting vintage star wars for a little over a year and a half now, might be interesting to see how out of hand I am by comparison

Re: Introducing myself
Hi Chris, When you start or restart collecting as in my case, there is soooo much to buy that youcan go crazy.
I certainly did this and possibly still am!
I have 33 MOC's which range from Kenner Jabbs goons to Tri logo R2 D2 pop up sabre to POTF EV 9D9 and everything in between.
There's always a rush to "own" it all, but it's not a sprint it's a marathon, more than happy to share my collection so far, but please don't guage yours by mine,
I hope that the above reads ok, hard to get into words a thought sometimes!?!
I will post my latest acquisitions in the relevant thread later this week, hope you like them.
Nick.

Re: Introducing myself
Very interesting Mini, I think I've gone about 66% as far down the rabbit hole as you in about as much time
