Thought I'd get this thread going with a sub-collection I've been working on for the past couple of years.  It all began when I stumbled upon some CEDs (Capacitance Electronic Discs) of the Original Trilogy while visiting Todd Chamberlain (of Toy Chamber Collectibles fame) a few summers ago. My curiosity was piqued, and it's been fun to collect things that are reasonably priced and somewhat tied to my line of work as a moving image archivist. It has a general theme of vintage theatrical, film, video, and related promotional ephemera. My goal has been to curate a variety of formats and countries (so far, I've got the US, Germany, France, Sweden, Greece, and Japan). I had to limit myself to a small display space at work, which has essentially reached capacity. Apologies as some of this is kind of blended with "movie collectibles," but to me they kind of go hand-in-hand.

I'm particularly on the hunt for an example of the Italian Super 8 reels and ever evasive theater handbills from Iceland (have to represent my heritage!), but am always interested in oddities from around the globe. Thanks for taking a look!

Some express a keen interest (particularly those of the original SW generation), others  a passing curiosity, while some just think I'm a weirdo.

I'd really like to get one of our Super 8mm projectors running to check out the German condensed version of Star Wars, and rumor has it that somewhere in the depths of our basement there is a CED player that might still work. I'm thinking it'd be a good opportunity for an "obsolete format" demonstration.

Fabrice, Thanks for adding the Meccano projector.   What are the other languages on the instruction page? Is there another side to the instruction page as well?

Fabrice, thanks for adding the instruction sheets. So, Meccano exported products to Germany & Holland. I did not know that. I thought it would have just been Palitoy.

I will take new photos of all the movie related items I have, like still frames, projector and movie viewers done up. I will also do up as much information I have on each as well.

Pretty sure that’s a 1996 issue. I don’t have a problem with that personally as I got that tape when it came out and I think it’s awesome.

Ben Burt himself edited 4 episodes into a feature length piece and re-did the sound and some music.

Lots of cool goodies in this thread, love the laserdisc, I used to have a laserdisc player, and still have the American release of the trilogy, special edition though so no good for here
