Washington DC - Jan 20 & 21

Just thought I'd share this panoramic that I took today as my work had me in DC documenting the Women's March protesting the inauguration of Mr. Trump. Much better attended than the inauguration itself. Estimate is 500,000 protestors today.

I was there with some fellow Canadans (the ones in the red hats) who were supporting their state side Union counterparts. We were so well received. A group of 20-30 of us were getting screams from hundreds that we passed by, it was incredibly strange lol didn't see many Trump supporters, maybe one group of 5-6 that weren't saying much.

I just saw clips of the protest on the supper time news. Definitely a sign of more to come.

Yeah I was trying to collect one of the so called "Pussy Hats" but they were a hot commodity as they were essentially all hand made.

It makes me proud to know that one of our own TXI crew was there

Despite the fact that we live in Oklahoma (where 65 % voted for trump) we will never support or refer to trump as "President"

In fact we will be moving to the west coast (Washington) in less then 10 months just to get as far away from Oklahoma as possible - and also to get as close to Canada as we can so that we won't have as far to go when we decide that it's time to move on to Canada

Yeah I was there getting video footage of that particular group so everything I actually shot besides that cellphone pic is pretty large format video and I'm not the editor lol wish I could post something more fun. Maybe a private link once it's edited lol

I have stayed away from everything concerning Trump since he was sworn in, both pro and con. Just too depressing.

Thanks Christian, I mainly shoot corporate and commercial videos. Once in a while we get a client that gets me out somewhere interesting like DC for the innagutation/woman's march weekend.
