Weathering...

Any of you guys have ever tried this Revell weathering set? Saw it for the first time at the shop last week, almost wanted to buy one to test and try before doing it on some modern figures and kits I have, but I've found it a bit expensive (especially to use for a first test on pieces of scrap... but this shop is often more expensive than normal prices so maybe that's why). Though it seems nice, from what they say you can mix the 6 basic products you have from the box to create a lot of different effects. Do you guys used to customize and build model kits know of any other brands that might be better than this one?

I've never seen anything like that before.

I just use a dry brush painting technique, with different layers of colour.

I've never tried anything like that set either, I was mostly just doing it lightly with paint. I've also never tried to do it on figures, most of the kits I've built were all WWII planes and cars. It will be a first time hopefully I don't ruin everything

I've thought about weathering techniques on models before Nicolas but never tried as of yet mate,
