Beware of vintage*space*station, Matthew Adams, on ebay
Well, got scammed by a guy today on ebay.
He bought a Luke Farmboy off me on ebay April 26. My listing clearly says if an item sells over $40, I will upgrade to tracked shipping, but below that, I will save the buyer money by offering cheap untracked. He paid $34.99. Asks me the day after I confirm shipment if he can have tracking, to which I pointed out my terms in the listing. May 12, he opens a case, saying he hasn't received it. No kidding, Eastern Canada to California, I don't expect it to arrive in 2 weeks. He was allowed to escalate today. At 12:15 am, he does so, and a few hours later, ebay gives him his refund.
Okay, fair enough, right? Ebay rules are to provide tracking.
Look at this though.
Since yesterday, here's his feedback. (sorry for small pics)

That's three people, me included, that gave him "false positives" for scamming.
Now, look at his feedback left since yesterday.

Seven negatives in a row left since yesterday?!?
This guy has decided to scam a lot of people all at the same time. Stupid motherfucker. I'm appealing it, but doubt ebay will budge even with this evidence.
Beware of this clown guys.

Whoops! Sorry I never updated this.
Long story short, ebay rejected the appeal outright. I called them up, and spoke with a manager there. Turns out the guy flipped it immediately. Bryan (trappedtexan) alerted me to that, and gave me a number of pictures highlighting the same exact flaws and marks on both figures, mine and his. It was without any doubt mine. I explained all of that to the ebay manager, and told her the clown's auction number, and said I could forward all of the photographic evidence they need to prove they were the same. No interest. I said I'd have to go to the police about it, and if I had to do that I'd never sell on ebay again giving them no more fees from me, and she said that was fine. I even brought up another situation a few months ago, where a guy claimed he never received a figure from me that I did get tracked (I won, and when he appealed, they gave him his money back). I asked why they couldn't do that for me, and they simply said no tracking, I lose, and she completely understood my side. So, after 20 minutes of back and forth, I finally asked straight up, "so, with all the evidence you would need to prove he scammed the system, a willingness on my part getting the police involved, and the probability of losing a long time member with 100% positive feedback who has given them a lot of money in fees over the years, you're going to side with a guy who has less than 100% feedback, who in one day left a ton of negatives for others over the same issue, and received a bunch of false positive feedbacks from sellers scammed, and basically let him walk away with my money and my item?" The response was a simple "yes". I told her their policies were officially fucked up, they fuck over sellers nonstop, and I was done with them, then I hung up.
Oh, and my figure he paid $41 shipped for, he managed to sell for $70.
What a piece of shit.....

I'm sorry to hear this Ian. It's disgusting that these giant corporations care so little for those of us that have made them what they are. The fact ebay always seems to side with the buyer when a dispute occurs just encourages these scamming scumbags to screw people.

Ian, that sucks. Hopefully it will come back to bite him in the ass some day. Do you still have his shipping address? Maybe a road trip is in order.

Oh yeah, I have all of his personal info. Road trip may be extreme, but if I ever manage to take that family vacation to California, like I have always wanted to do, a little side trip is definitely in order.
I want to call his local police as I threatened to do, but I can't imagine they'll take $40 over a toy as something serious.

Then, you should get the mods at RS to ban him there. You have all the evidence already.

As far as I can tell, he's not a member at RS, or on any other collector site.
