Just a few of Olisuds favourite Pre-production things ...
I don't have a display at the moment and everything (not that I own much these days) is in a box. Just took a few of my favourite items out and set them up for a quick photo to share.
Update: I've added a couple more pics including my R5-D4 proof card and cromalin run!

Some killer preproduction items!
Thanks for sharing, Oli!
Personally I like the Leia Poncho and Bib Fortuna the most. Though it is hard to make a choice.
Is the fabric used for Bib's cape comparible to the production cape?

Re: Just a few of Olisuds favourite Pre-production things ...
Thanks for the kind words guys.
Marco yes the white coat is made from the same fabric although it does appear to be a little thinner. Perhaps thats just an illusion because the white colour allows more light through.
Actually I'm not sure if many people realise but Han's Trenchcoat uses the same fabric as Bib Fortuna's coat. It's just a different colour and cut of the same material. Similarly the Leia Poncho uses the same fabric as Squid head but again a different colour and cut.

Cool pieces Oli I always regret not buying all those cardbacks now that I know so many who collect them when I first got back into collecting.

The "card backs" at the back are:
Unproduced R5-D4 Revenge offerless cromalin
Unproduced R5-D4 POTF proof card with no punch
Unproduced Leia Bespin POTF cromalin
As far as i'm aware for the POTF Leia Bespin and R5-D4 there are only one proof card and one cromalin known of each and not even a mock up exists. For the R5-D4 Revenge this is the only known offerless example and not even a proof card exists.

Holy grail figures. Bib is the only one I saw before. THX for sharing. Is the material of the Landos Cape a different too? Or is it just the colour which makes it Special?

Re: Just a few of Olisuds favourite Pre-production things ...
Yes actually the blue Lando General Cape does appear to have been made of a slightly different fabric and is a bit thicker. The figure was the actual one photographed in the 1985 Kenner Toy Fair Catalogue introducing the new POTF figures as well as the unproduced 93 back figure grouping. You will also notice in the pictures he's holding a light grey Luke Jedi palace blaster.

Always love seeing your collection photos Oli. It's obvious also that a lot of thought, patience and research has gone into your collecting habits. Good to see in today's age of buying whatever the f*ck is considered hot without knowing jacksh*t about it.

Anyone else think Bib looks ike a really creepy freaky Dental Nurse in that white coat?
Mind blown Oli mate. An awesome collection which truly goes to show; Sometimes Less is More. You have an eye mate, in fact i'm pretty sure you have 2!

Thanks Jez, yeah I believe he did some part time work as a dental hygienist when he wasn't busy being jabba's right hand man :-)
I'd love to add a red coat Bib Fortuna prototype one day but if I'm honest the white coat bib has always been my favourite of the two.
I've added a couple more pics including one of my R5-D4 proof card and cromalin focus.

Hi Oli, I've always admired your collection mate, you have some very special pieces
My favorite is the white coat Bib, how many of these are known to exist ?
Cheers Andy

Re: Just a few of Olisuds favourite Pre-production things ...
Thanks Andy. No idea exactly but I'd say they are on par with the red coat Bib fortuna for rarity and probably less than 10 of each. Most of the white ones are carded though whereas all the red ones are loose. This is the only loose white coat one I've seen. Although I'm sure it won't be long before someone tears one off the card :-)
