Hello Clint
The kit I got from ebay, it came as a box of unpainted resin bits, I upgraded the parts adding detail here and there, it was sold as cast from original, but I can't be sure, either way its a nice prop

Re: grinchys star wars props
Yeah I prefer the green colour as that's what I remember onscreen, I know the originals were more of a brown shade
Heres a commission I just finished for a collector a Michael Jackson Thriller zombie bust. I sculpted it a few years ago but haven't done many copies
heres one of the reference shots I used
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
and heres the finished bust, the buyer wanted him really green looking so that's what he got

I don't know how I missed this! First class work. Love watching old behind the scenes videos of Stan Winston, Rick Baker, Tom Savini, Nicotero, ect.
Also that Zombie in the horror thread was beautiful, and posing it with Romero?

Re: grinchys star wars props
You made a life size predator head that looks that accurate? please tell me that's in a common area of your home on display lol
Re: grinchys star wars props
Hey chris, this pred was finished for a friend, he bought it online from another artist and when it arrived it looked like this
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I offered to fix it up for him and make it presentable, I resculpted areas on the crown and made new eye inserts for it so it wasn't boss eyed
So not all my work but it turned out ok and he was happy with it

Re: grinchys star wars props
Heres one I made for my son when he was six he loved AVP, so wanted to be the predator

Heres a few more pieces, first up my take on a reaper from blade 2, loved the design in the movie, so I was pleased to take on this commission
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
second one is still a reaper this one was just my paintjob though, I painted a mask for another collector, I wanted it to look like translucent skin
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
finally a lifesize freddy upper torso puppet, had head movement via a rod at the rear

Re: grinchys star wars props
Very nice upgrades to that Predator. You can really see the improvement in the mouth! And the beads/neck cover look just right
Love that series, I hope the new one is going well. Its hard to speculate on the quality. Predators (2010) was alright but just so forgettable.

Re: grinchys star wars props
Well its been awhile since I sculpted anything, my seizures got out of hand for a while not to bad now, my friend is a fan of the Keanu reeves movie Constantine, and liked the half head demon from the movie, so he asked me to tackle it, heres one of the reference pics of the original and then the finished clay sculpture
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Only thing he asked for differently was pointy teeth, so I added them, its been moulded now and I'll make a finished rubber head from the mould

Ian, that looks awesome. I'll have to re-watch the movie, just to see the demon.
Hopefully your seizures stay under control.

Re: grinchys star wars props
Great work, Ian. That movie is pretty underrated. Looking forward to the new Predator movie? The script was leaked a while back and I'm not so sure.
Re: grinchys star wars props
Thanks bud, yeah the new pred movie i'm going to see it, haven't seen the script trying to stay spoiler free, but it doesn't look that great from what I've seen trailer wise,

Re: grinchys star wars props
Well, it's not like bad scripts have stopped them from doing new amazing designs. I love "Wolf" from AVP2.
