My Original Trilogy Autograph Collection

Here is my modest collection of original trilogy autographs

All of the autographs shown here were collected in person by me. They were all acquired at small conventions around southern England, as I have yet to get the opportunity to attend one of the big events such as Celebration Europe.

That's a tough one Clint. In terms of talking, many of the cast members were very friendly & actually initiated conversations with me. The longest & most enjoyable conversations were with Gerald Home & Alan Flyng.
I mentioned above that Gerald gave me an additional free autograph following our chat at my stall. After I spoke with Alan, he also gave me an additional free autograph & some promotional material including a cool patch. Alan Flyng actually has a website where he promotes all of the Star Wars signings around the world, so you can see who is appearing, where & when. alanflying.com

I heard Gerald is a great guy. He was interviewed on the Vintage Rebellion podcast a while back as well.

He also attended the last Fathest From event organised by Dave Tree where he donated a couple unique items for a charity auction. Unfortunately I was not aware before hand, so I missed it, but he also gave a talk at the get together the previous night which I gather was very interesting.

I totally agree James. It's easy enough to buy autographs from dealers, but for me the value in the collection is the fact that it represents members of cast and crew that I have actually met and each autograph has it's own story. Besides, obtaining them this way I know they are all genuine autographs.

Brilliant mate, I collect autographs to, my interests are the behind the scenes people the fx type guys, need to meet john coppinger jabba sculptor, though I do have some of the actors to, Kenny baker was always fun to meet, met him in the bar a few times, allways good to talk to,
Most of the lesser known stars take the time to chat with you, your more than a walking twenty pounds note to them.

That would be real cool to get some of them as well maybe someday they will come to this Island or to a con near me. At least thanks to a friend of mine and being a member of the 501st garrison here I will be getting an autographed squidhead card to go with my collection .

It's a shame that there doesn't appear to be many signing opportunities in Canada Larry. I think someone is missing a trick there by not organising some. Don't forget to show us ypur signed Squidhead card when it arrives.
