Tantive XI - This is what we stand for: The Forum Awakens

• We are a vintage Star Wars forum, a site made by collectors for collectors.
  
• We want to provide a place to hang out and talk about the hobby.
  
• We are strongly international oriented, reflected by a Team with members from 9 different countries.
  
• We are serious about the hobby, but never too serious about ourselves.
  
• We want to maintain an open, constructive, and laid back atmosphere.
  
• We welcome constructive feedback to help us improve the forum for our members,
  
• We would like to see all collectors treated equally, no matter how long they have been collecting.
  
• We believe that there are no 'stupid questions' but we do encourage and appreciate some research before asking.
  
• We have invested in a unique “look and feel” and technologically advanced functionality (zoom in feature of Library pictures, direct photo uploads, tagging people in posts, etc), despite this…
  
• We want our site to be free of costs for our members and we intend to keep it that way.
  
• We detest reproductions and U-grading.
  
• We don't buy into the forum v Facebook schism. Instead…
  
• We can see the strengths of both forums and Facebook and hope to combine the best from both worlds.
  
• We don't give a f*ck about existing politics among collectors/other forums - Please excuse our French  
  
• We believe in self moderation and a minimum of rules, except for some necessary ones. For the same reason...
  
• We don't need a "swearing sieve", but please always be respectful to others.
  
• We would appreciate private matters, being discussed in....private.
  
• We want to live in harmony with other vintage SW forums and their members. Therefore…
  
• We also encourage members to continue using other forums and linking to other forums is allowed.
  
• We are not just here to serve as a forum to chat but we hope, with help from all of our members, to advance everyone's knowledge of vintage collecting. To obtain this goal…
  
• We have set up a “one stop shop” Library providing easily accessible information on many different collecting areas.
  
• We will rely heavily on the community to further build up the Library via dedicated project groups.
  
• We are a non profit site and will never use any images/information posted or donated to the Library, or any other sections for financial gain.
  
• We regard your provided information/pictures your own intellectual property, for which we don't want to claim any exclusivity, however.....
  
• We would like to make a gentleman's agreement with our members, not to remove your pictures/posts from the site, in the unfortunate event a member would decide to leave us one day. The reason is that...
  
• We think that the removal of posts/pictures/information from existing threads will harm the forum and it is not respectful to other members who took the effort to interact in that same thread.
